@CO2Junkie Apparently you're confused about what I'm saying.
I don't know what Rand Paul believes, and I'm not defending him.
but being a libertarian is not synonymous with racism, any more than being a protectionist makes someone automatically racist. I see now that you did quantify your gross overgeneralization with "psuedo-libertarians" so I'll just hope that means you do get the difference between libertarianism, and libertarians that are racist.
@onlywhenprovoked - Here's another example - Recently a Cincinnati landlord hung a sign near the pool of her apartment complex that said 'Whites Only'. There is a black family that rents from her. They have a lease for use of the property. Their lease is current. Their rent is paid but they are being excluded from using the pool because of their skin color. Ron Paul believes this should be legal. He has said so. This is not libertarianism; it is racism.
@onlywhenprovoked - I'm talking about healthcare that is provided by a working marriage partner. As it stands now, as I understand it, US law requires an insurer to make that coverage also available to a wife or a husband. Rand Paul says they should not be required to provide it for a homosexual marriage partner. I have not spoken to him. I can only watch his videos & read his comments in news articles.
@onlywhenprovoked - That skirts the issue a bit. For example - if a 'libertarian' objects to homosexual couples benefiting from the working spouse's healthcare coverage then they need to also object to a wife benefiting from her husband's healthcare coverage. If you're going to argue that a business can choose to provide for a wife but deny the same for a homosexual spouse - then you're not a libertarian - you're a bigot who's hiding behind 'freedom'. Rand Paul is an example of this.
@CO2Junkie I actually don't know of a single libertarian that opposes gay marriage. I do however hear them say that the government has no place regulating marriage. That's their whole thing. If you know of someone that opposes gay marriage and calls themselves a libertarian, then I'd love to know who they are.

onlywhenprovoked, that protection does not grant them citizenship, so if they are living humans they are non-citizens.

Ron Paul is the best. The only one who can change the USA. All other fuckers aren't.
