This is the funeral procession for officer Erik Hite, June 10, 2008 in Tucson Arizona. The day was hot, 106 degrees, but we still stood there in honor of a fallen veteran and police officer. It was an honor to stand for him, and I will always remember this day. The procession was almost 11 miles long. I only got 10 minutes of footage before my camera overheated and shut off. I got about a 1/4 of the procession. The American Flags in the background are being held by the Patriot Guard Riders (PGR), myself and several TMR members are also Patriot Guards. I want to thank Maestro, TJ and Tar for being there with me. 160 motorcycle officers in front. God Bless Officer Hite, rest in peace.

  • since it seems like all the police took part in the procession, so who is guarding tucson arizona?

  • Most of the police in this video came from all across Arizona and the United States for Erik Hite's Funeral, so there were plenty of police officers to guard Tucson Arizona. It is nice to know that a Tucson officer was honored so greatly by fellow officers from across the USA. Not everyone is as stupid as you.

  • god bless you erik, thank you for you service, also thank you for posting this video,. im proud to see the "PGR" group with those flags and showing their support, thank you if you are a member of the PGR as well

  • Yes, I am a Patriot Guard Rider, and proud to be.

  • I am so amazed at how many people try to post negative cop hating comments to my video. I have to approve all comments to this page first due to that.

Now you bet your ass that when one of those cop haters needs the police in a time of need, they will not be so hateful. I think all cop haters should have a tattoo on their forehead so that the cops can identify them and just walk away "by law" when they come across one. You may not agree with what they do, but they swore to protect you.

  • A true warriors welcome home.

  • Officers from other cities. Generally as a courtesy, if there's a funeral for a fallen brother in public safety (firefighter, ems, police, etc), other departments will send in people to cover the city so the 'local' department can attend the funeral. And these officers you see in the video may not be local. I've been to a fire funeral in N. California and seen NYPD officers.

  • RIP

  • Now thats what I call respecting a fallen hero.

  • the most cops i have ever seen in my life

  • R.I.P. the officer being honored. God Bless!

  • I served with this man at Davis Monthan AFB AZ. He was a 1st Sgt...Wow, this hard to believe. Rest in peace, 1st Sgt Hite
