After a bit of dilly-dallying four of us had a very nice boat about above the cliffs on the smooth early evening sea breeze, joined by Richard on his hang glider for a spell. A lovely end to a summer's day.
@bigusdikus1000 Yeah! Well I was almost stationary some of the time, 'parked' into the wind and flying only a little above stall speed. Those hang gliders can shift a lot faster than us paragliders.
If I can ever afford it I'd love to get back into hang gliding (I built and flew a primitive 'Rogallo' one way back in the 70s.)
@Reech... yep, it's one of those all year round places when there's a 10-15mph S to SW breeze. When your undercarriage is working again you must give it a go.
That hang glider makes you look stationary

From around 1.45 on you appear almost stationary, are you sure you were not just up a very tall ladder? ;-)

@raveydv Nah mate, I was hanging from a helicopter!!! When the wind's a bit off and strong enough you can hover like a kestrel.
In fact I have hovered within a few feet of kestrels on these cliffs - they don't seem at all bothered by us - beautiful birds.

Speedy recovery, mate.
