It's a shame that T'Pau will always be remembered for "China in your Hand" coz this was them at their very best. An mountainous 80's anthem - just try not singing along to it in the car :-) "Valentine" was another cracker too. Ms Decker was (and still is) a fiery-haired beauty.
ha! i know right? remember when you thought nothing of going down to the mall and buying another casette?? now you'd be offended to buy something twice if even once. and it's cheaper, lol. but man! when this song dropped it was bigger than anything if only for a moment. yessss
I was totally with you!!! Around '97-'99 when I saw 80s films and heard 80s music I thought "well, it was stupid, cheesy decade and it will be forgotten."
Well, I thought differently in 2002 when VH1 unveiled "I love the 80s" and fell back in love with them again!
heck yeah! and i did have this song on a little 45 that i played over and over, lol. my parents must have loved hearing the same 20 songs coming out of my bedroom over and over, hehee. And remember having to request songs with the radio stations? wow!
And MTV used to play videos. like whoa! Now it's all about tool academy and real world 18 or so.
