How NOT to launch a sky lantern!

It was New Year's Eve 2009, and what better way to celebrate the new year then with a lantern? A more gentle alternative to the traditional firework, or is it? Lanterns aren't meant to be launched in built up areas, especially not in your back garden surrounded by trees. So we just hoped that it wouldn't set fire to anything, even if it was windy and snowy! However the outcome was the most fun we'd had in ages!
