@lerb21 Luther Perkins would not have made some of the greatest lead guitar runs in country music history despite barely knowing what he was doing if he follow that train of thought. That's a counter productive attitude and overwhelmingly negative outlook.
@lerb21 playing, then you need to get your hearing checked. Needless to say, I did it quite right. If you're not satisfied with it, here's a tip: swallow your immature desires to deride people, realize that you're not going to accomplish anything but wasting time and illustrating yourself to be a polarizing person. Also, what the Hell kind of logic is, "If you can't do something right, don't do it at all"? If everyone followed that logic, people wouldn't try to do anything for fear of reprisal.
@lerb21 I set out to do with this video. The bad lighting? Doesn't matter. The fast talking? That's how I do it, and if you can't follow it, then replay the video and listen again, this isn't 1980. If that detracts from the video, it frankly doesn't matter because the video still accomplishes its goal. I also neglected to plug my guitar in because it was completely unnecessary. This isn't about tone, or how big your dick is because you're playing through an amp. If you can't hear what I'm
@lerb21 Twin Reverb, playing Don Rich, James Burton, Roy Nichols, Pete Anderson, Waylon Jennings, and Luther Perkins licks because they have a whole lot more attitude, balls and swagger than East Coast fingerstyle does by a longshot. Once again, to each his own. Fourthly, I read all the comments I get, and the primary purpose of this video was educate a fellow on how I played the intro to this song. He told me he was very happy with what he received, and thus, I accomplished everything
@lerb21 than you, therefore it is completely and totally wrong and they therefore need reprimanded. Thirdly, I'm not going to be an asshole and discredit your playing. You do your fingerstyle, Chet Atkins, and Merle Travis picking quite well. But the truth is (and you damn well know it) that ANYONE can do that if they put the time in, including yours truly. It's honestly not my cup of tea though, and I'm not afraid to admit that. Having said that, I'd rather be playing a Telecaster through a
@TheMtneer56 First off, I love how you don't even attempt address any of the points that I brought up. Hell, you continue to prove my point by continuing to respond because your pride is keeping you from realizing that this is the internet, it's just guitar playing, and walking away. Secondly, I have always had the mindset that music is a brotherhood that you help each other in an attempt to be constructive in, not belittle one another over that fact that someone plays something differently
Hey prick, you will never be able to play 2 measures of the the tunes i have posted. Look at some of you're comments about the bad lighting and fast talking. You don't even have your guitar plugged in. If you can't do something right, don't do it at all.
Hahaha, right. The brilliant two word insult (Need I refresh your memory? "You suck") that I responded to was so eloquently devised that it obviously shows me to be an imbecile, and clearly not the fellow who can't follow the golden rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". Right. You're nothing less than a motherfucking genius, you realize that? Sorry that you missed out on basic interpersonal interaction and common courtesy 101.
