Based on a traditional Appalachian melody and performed by Alison Krauss. New original lyrics written for the film. When I saw this film three years ago I was really moved by this piece of music. It very much reminds me of music written by composer Steven Foster. If you like this you might like the collaboration between Alison Krauss, Yo Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, and Mark O'Connor on a record and live performance video called Appalachian Journey.
