in Denver on the California Zephyr as it left Union Station and began the climb up through the Rockies. See the Little Ten and Big Ten curves where the railroad set a cut of hopper cars on a siding, filled them with dirt and welded the wheels to the rails to serve as windbreak protection. Lead: P42 #38
