Named after and dedicated to Gram Parsons, Gram's Place down in Tampa, Florida is a great hostel with an international flair. We stayed there in late April 2006. It's two houses connected, shaded by large trees, has several wooden platforms on top of the roofs where you can chill, and got several double, group and bunk bed rooms, common kitchen and showers, a jacuzzi, bar area, and, most importantly, an old upright piano, several guitars.
It's an inexpensive, great little place to hang out, make music and a great base camp to hit the beaches from.
I put a little video together. Since I couldn't use Gram Parsons' music, I used some raw material recorded privately around that time. This is Part 2.
PS: Mark Holland, who was the founder and soul of "Grams Place", passed away in Nov 2007. It's now being managed by his brother.
is there anybody with video of Mark?
