Death of hockey, not good for nhl.

Hello, I was wondering if you could tell me what software you use to capture your screen and also to draw those yellow lines and dots on the video footage of the NHL game? Thanks.
-
You either need to push real fast so Tampa doesnt have time to set up (as stated) or you could utilize the Flyers strategy & hold off. Tampa is so set & locked into this 1-3-1 style the will not pursue the puck..

Weissie, educating youtube with hockey smarts since his playing days. Dude knows the game, folks. Check out his blog and other videos. He won't steer you wrong.
I have a request. I would love to see video of the teams you coach and some practice vids of said.
Good, day sir.

You know the game well, nice to see....however, I wouldn't use 1:3:1 and "forecheck" in the same sentence...I'd call that an oxy-moron...also, I think the players have grown tired of this simple, but proven method in Tampa.

Failed against the leafs.

love this; i may be 14 but this helps visualize the game and look at the actual plays the teams are actually attempting; really good job :)

Fantastic. Amazing presentation.
I am sure this info is used very well.
Cheers

They are a very forceful team, that's part of the reason they forced the Bruins to seven games last year

Really good vid! love it =) the 1-3-1 forecheck is boring but very effectiv.
Love your vids, changes the way I watch the game!

this is great...the 1-2-2 transitions so smoothly into a 1-3-1...a great pair of defensive systems that quickly create offense.
How would you suggest a team beat the 1-3-1?

@stevematylewicz good question. i'm not sure there's a "slick, finesse" way of beating it. i think the best bet will be to catch tampa on the transition BEFORE they have a chance to set up. you'll notice in the clips, the caps were very slow on the breakout and regoup set-ups. this allowed tampa to set up their 1-3-1 every time.
on the attack, a hard ring to the weak side might work if the far winger knows its coming and beats his defenseman into the corner.

@weissie20
I think the bruins style of play can expose this 1-3-1, They like to dump and chase and chase hard. They are too big, fast and physical. that extra space available deep in their zone will benefit the bruins for sure. A team that is great at the dump and chase game can expose that 1-3-1.
With that being said, the 1-2-2 forecheck that Tampa uses can really expose the bruins inability to be able to move the puck out of their zone.
