Remixed and remastered from the 1987 CD master, with a little help from the original mono mix.

PLEASE DON'T WATCH THIS VIDEO WHEN YOU HAVE SOME EPILEPTIC HISTORY, IT'S VERY PSYCHEDELIC! TAKE IT SERIOUSLY, THIS IS NOT A JOKE! OR, JUST OPEN THE VIDEO, AND MINIMIZE THE BROWSER'S WINDOW!

"Tomorrow Never Knows" is the final track of The Beatles' 1966 studio album Revolver but the first to be recorded. Credited as a Lennon/McCartney song, it was written primarily by John Lennon. Music critic Richie Unterberger of Allmusic said it was "the most experimental and psychedelic track on Revolver, in both its structure and production."

The song has a vocal put through a Leslie speaker cabinet (which was normally used as a loudspeaker for a Hammond organ) and uses automatic double tracking (ADT) to double the vocal image. Tape loops prepared by Paul McCartney were mixed in and out of the Indian-inspired modal backing underpinned by Ringo Starr's irregular drum pattern.

  • what do you mean, this video is drug related ?

  • @alzeNL Well, I can't say it is. But it's got a lot of fast moving aspects and colours. This can cause a breakdown to people with epilepsia in a lot of cases.

  • i actually don"t like the mix the tape loops are buried and that was not the original mono mix look up tomorrow never know alternate mono mix

  • @totaldrambeatles22 It would be much better if I would have the multi-tracks to this song. I stated 'with a little help from the original mono mix'. I meant to say that it was used just sparingly, mainly for the guitar solo. Thank you for being honest.

  • @TheMusicalSteve Ya it's too bad. we have within you without you and the mix of the two tracks in multitracks thanks to beatles rock band but unforntly not tommorow never knows by itself, which I would like alot more as I prefer this over the others.

  • @goldanthro I would preffer to play this version in the game, too. I don't know why they chose this version, or why they didn't include both. Actually, I would have a lot of questions about The Beatles Rock Band around things that don't seem quite right to me.

  • Beatles Mono > Beatles Stereo

  • This song just pierces through my soul like butter and takes me on a ride, no matter the time or place.

  • No drugs for me, please. I smoked marijuana for the first time in 1966. I enjoy music like this in an unaltered state. This song is about finding a spiritual side to oneself. I'm sure that if they were alive today, George and John would concur. Stay sober, my brothers and sisters. The days ahead will make it necessary. Create art and live for truth. Life, light, and joy to all.

  • Nice job. I think John would have been proud. Peace

  • @TheMusicalSteve Please, don't feel you need to warn people with epilepsy. The vast majority are not light-sensitive. It's just silly.

  • it is irrevelant what people think this song is about. to me, this is in my top 5 of all beatles songs. pure genius. ahead of it's time, and under the right condition.... a pure mind blower.

  • All: this song isn't drug related. It was loosely based on the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Note lyrics: "Turn off your mind relax and float down stream, It is not dying, it is not dying.." is about reincarnation and " Yet you may see the meaning of within, It is being, it is being.." is describing higher consciouness and meditation. And the lyrics: "So play the game: Existence to the end Of the beginning, of the beginning.." is about the wheel of birth, death and rebirth.
