Obama states that the way you handle a wedge issue like Gay Marriage is to take it on not during an election, make it an item well after the election. This was stated in 2008. So was Obama's decision in December of 2010 to support Gay Marriage really an evolution or was it a well contrived progressive political maneuver to garner more votes from the progressive fringe base?
