  • Also... what form is that? I've seen it in class but it's not one I've learned yet.

  • The form is Tai Jo Kuen.

  • well I am sure Leung shum is a master. This move is quite effective...But I dont have enough information about eagle claw. WHY

Because all this great traditional kung fu styles are showing lots of tao-lu ( form ) very very small application. Can we see more application pls. Not only YJP for all traditional kung fu styles

  • I understand your frustration, but unless someone puts a series on the web for you to download you will not get your wish.

I would not do so because that would go against my sifu's wishes.

  • This is a taste. It was already available on the web if you were to go to ESPYTV ( which produces our videos ). To actually learn to fight with Eagle Claw techniques you either have to be a natural fighter who sees the applications in the form or you need to be instructed in the applications through trial and error as well as sharing with others' in the school.

  • Hey, Mark D.,..I remember you from the ol' Staten Island School, along w/ Jamie P.,

  • Im just finishing my first year of Ying Jow Pai in Puerto Rico with Sifu Thomas Torres.

I am trully blessed , I love this.

  • I was with Ying Jow from the beginning, and I did some demonstrations where I was the assailant and Grandmaster was the defender, and one thing I know. Ying Jow is the real deal. Anyone who says it's just dancing doesn't know anything. Grandmaster Shum is the best teacher I've ever had. Pure and simple.

  • i bought a ying jow pai book before and then i study it i learned a some techniques and mixed it with my martial arts style...then it was good and effective..

    thanks sifu leung shum

  • I just started studying with Sifu Frank who studied under him..

  • Good to see my sifu again. I have fond memories of those early days after he opened the first school on 28th street.

  • Just to clarify, the videos are available on DVD and much better quality that the VHS versions though I think they were taken from the tape masters. However they have the typical DVD menus, the slow mo feature on DVDs are much better than VHS, and clearer and brighter.

  • come on....what kind of comment are those; a lot of people don`t know the real Ying Jow Pai kung fu, simply because it is not any commercialized fraud....in other words it is the real deal!!!
