I ran into that same problem so instead of dropping it onto a nail I taped a shingel roofing nail to the end and loosly so that the nail would come off when it struck the ground it worked out pritty good but it's a real pain having too tape on 25 nails to C02 cartrages.

@skippers96 no, our tube wasnt long enough, it would only dent the burst disk, not puncture it.

FYI you can just drop them in like a mortar and they will still go off only it gives you a little more time too set back when you just drop it in.
