Gaiagen is almost complete. This preview showcases the integrated texturing system. In the video you will see textures based off of angle and an ocean with natural looking beaches and cliffs.

  • Aha, excellent. I'll ask a further few questions if I may- is the lens flare just composed of separate sprites? That's the method I've always used but have never got it looking as good as yours. Secondly, the lighting is quite excellent- and seems very realistic for a landscape. Is it just fog in the distance or have you used any other tricks?

  • @chebob2009 For the sky and lens flare I used a modified version of skydome, I believe it's called. As for the fog, I just used the built in fog system in the game engine :)
