Not really, it's primarily for windows apps. However I have heard that there is or may be some unity support for linux apps either in beta versions now or possibly in the future.

can you turn on visual efects in vm ware?

Unfortunately, no. It requires direct access to the video hardware.

Yes, it's leopard. I used snapzpro to do the screen cap at 1024x768, coverted it to an AVI in Bink, edited it in Camtasia on Windows and then output it back to a hinted quicktime at 640x480 resolution

I have VMWare Fusion 2.0 beta 2 w/ fedora linux, no unity support here. oh well, linux is still good as it is!
