oh man could you make a tutorial please??? I'm trying to do this but I don't get it, not even with the polycount forum thread, I'm very new new using the material editor and I don't really understand the logic behind it =(

This is fantastic, do you orient the cross hatch line work based on the light vector? Does the shader require a specific uv layout to work properly or is the line work referencing world space for its coordinates?

@thegoodwar if you wanna use simple UV coordinates then they should be clean and neat.. but tri planar texture mapping is aswell usefull.. I made tri planar mapping internally in UDK aswell.. so no problem ther e:)
