kansas shows they can "swing"

Same here - this is my favorite Kansas song of all time. I love tons of their material, but if this had been released as a single - it would have been a major radio hit for them.

I've been listening yup a LOT of Kansas lately, and it's weird because songs from Led Zeppelin,Rush, even The Beatles are sounding... second grade. Strange...

@rubbersole79 dopeheads are not welcome on this planet, go away/

Wish this song had become a bigger hit, it was one of the most straight ahead rockers they ever did. Kansas deserves a better legacy than the 3-4 songs played to death on classic rock radio.

@rubbersole79: My fave tune by this great band. Same time frame. Midwestern location. 1972 black over gray 4-door Chevy Impala. Pioneer 8-track, Jensen Co-axials, some buds...or some miller ponies...or some schoenling little cream ales, some herb, and lotsa gravel or asphalt roads ...we'd do what you did...and our life DID depend on it!! Well, at least we THOUGHT it did...LOL

This album and Masque were my soundtrack growing up in Southern California in the 70"s. I ran across this tonight sending Masque links to my twenty year old son..One of the best albums ever..

hits close to home in more than one way
"......it was 1978 or 79 I think...yep, the old '65 Ford Fairlane, Sanyo 8-track, Jensen Co-axials, some buds, some herb, and lotsa gravel roads... we'd crank this one up and sing our guts out like life depended on it.....and maybe it did."

Not a weak song on this album. Kerry Livgren wrote some
great songs. Wore it out in high school. Still listen to it often.
