Two friends plan an incredible stunt on a construction site: One of them films, the other men sneaks up to a huge compaction crane.
He places a selfmade catapult next to the crane. The weight rushes down and the force hurls the guy high up into the sky.

After viewing this video, Sir Isaac asked me two questions. My answer: "it looks like it takes about 3 seconds for him to reach his maximum height, and the surfboard is raised about 0.5 meters during launch. After performing a few calculations, Isaac announced, "In that case, his maximum height was about 45 meters, and his acceleration during launch was about 900 m/s^2, meaning he was subjected to a g-force of about 90. That's one tough surfer-dude, and one tough surfboard."

Cary, I had the same concerns, if the board did not break, I thought is legs might buckle or even break, and if none of that happened, I thought the G force would have been strong enough for him to pass out and not be able to activate his parachute.

The physics alone would have sent his legs through his body and broken all his bones into a fine powder, nevermind the fact that the board would have also been destroyed,as well as the fact that there is like zero fulcrum where he places the board.
