Drug, alcohol addiction is progressive. If you stop, when you start up again your brain wants to continue where it left off. That means that you usually overdose and die because what took your body years before to get used to now kills your body in the short "re-start" period. The only way to beat drug and alcohol addiction is total abstinence. If you go back to using, you die. Don't make excuses. This is a yes or no, a do or die issue. Stop using. If you need support, go to NA, AA, etc.
