Joyce Meyers on the atonement

None of this insane doctrine about Jesus can be found anywhere in the bible.
So where did it come from? From false teachers Hagin and Copeland who ultimately got it from a demon(s).

"But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons," 1 Timothy 4:1

What we should do is pay attention to sound doctrine.

"In pointing out these things to the brethren, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, constantly nourished on the words of the faith and of the sound doctrine which you have been following. But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women." 1 Tim 4:6

But Joyce doesn't teach the bible. She won't study it either. Therefore she does not know sound doctrine. She doesn't nourish herself on the word. Her husband certainly isn't washing her with the word Ephesians 5:25-26 and if he is she isn't listening.

Meyers' followers, who treat the bible as though it were some discombobulated "chicken soup for the soul" reference book, likewise have no idea what the sound words of the faith are either.

Joyce parrots false doctrine in wholesale ignorance of the faith and thus her followers do the same.

How could so many people be wrong? The same way so many are wrong about Muhammad, Joseph Smith and Buddha. Numbers don't prove anything. Scripture does.

Here is what the bible teaches about the atonement.

Jesus defeated sin and death on the cross:

"Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil," Hebrews 2:14,


"When you were dead in your transgressions and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our transgressions, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross"Col 2:13-14,

"and He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed. "1Peter 2:24,




"It is finished "John 19:30.

When He said it is finished Jesus meant it.

@babyboqboq you cant preach the real gospel if you dont know what the real gospel is, it is our job to warn and rebuke, that is part of being a follower of Jesus, if any man is caught in a sin show him his fault, take two or three witnesses, what part of saving men from a multitude of sins dont you understand? Jesus warns us to stay away from these that are denying the power of a Holy Godly life having only a form of Godliness but denying its power. Godliness is repentance, not being arrogant

This is heresy. The Bible tells of the victory of the cross: Colossians 2:14-15

"having cancelled the written code, with its regulations, that was against us and that stood opposed to us; he took it away, nailing it to the cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross".
