@lesyayandfilksongs I thought about it and it can be explained by the easy fact that we can't hear people's thoughts. If the director wants to show someone's thoughts - he can do it in three ways: mouth closed but with a voice, with moving lips but without a voice (which in reality probably would be the thing Spike would do BUT we would have to guess what he is saying) and the last one: mouth moving and with a voice (it allows an actor to really act, it's easier and looks more natural).
