I just learned about this movie and found heroine is played by same actress (Riisa Naka) as the anime version. And I like her voice!! :D

She also played Yumi in Summer Wars.

well ,i just made i little research and found out that this movie is a 1972 and 1983 remake(from the 1965 novel), not the 2006 version.....the core is the same but have a significative changes, im still gonna watch it....

Wow!It's a great movie,It's seamed to be a funny action movie,but it turned in to a love-drama movie,It was very good,japanese can be very romantic and poetic,but I want to suggest this:ehy Japanese,girls and boys,men and women who fall in love....use to kiss and make love,do it sometimes,not everytime,but sometimes do it,don't show always the sad part of the story....ahahaha

I love this film! I cried hard at the end and I was so touched by their love story.

And the story was conveyed without the need to show nudity or sex and you still got how they felt about each other. Thats good against films that rely on nudity.I recommend this movie to anyone and its great movie coming from Japan!!!

I really liked this movie, good thing I found a copy with accurate English subtitles. I cried for days due to the ending. I was kind of disappointed though, the ending was sad but it kind of annoyed me. The fact that she just forgot ryota, I thought she would have at least remembered him seeing as she loved him. But it was sad how she couldn't change the past. He still died. :(
