  • @RetroAdvance UT was indeed perfect

  • @MrEverythingepic No, but his career is.

  • i wish i could meet carmack

  • is John Romero dead?

  • LOL Bill Gates wishes he was as awesome as Carmack

  • Nobody can beat the perfection that is Quake 3.

  • @MTZTayko it was first person, yes, but not an actual FPS

    they were First Person RPG

but this is kind of as far as I know, so I may be wrong, nevertheless, you are right on the rest, so thumbs up to ya

also, along with Gabe Newell and Ken Levine, John Carmack is the greatest nerd out there ^-^

  • @MrRotweiler There still would be FPS, as that one company... I forget the name, had an FPS engine... BUT, you get a thumbs up, because Carmack's engine allowed an ordinary PC to play games, while the other needed a mega-computer, Carmack made FPS efficient. John Carmack FTW!! GReatest genius ever!!!!

  • THIS MAN DESERVES HIS OWN HOLIDAY, AT LEAST FOR OFF-WORD DAYS TO GAME DEVELOPERS. He is the greatest programmer, the FATHER of the modern game.
