i am from alabama, and have seen first hand how ppl reacted to the dixie chicks. i am actually a conservative. but i also know of the many rappers that put down bush and praise obama IN their songs and we still listen to them and play them on the radio. so i dont see the difference. i have always loved the dixie chick. they are musicans not politicians. so they have differnt views than me, thats not whats important. they give us great and inspiring music to listen to, so why not listen to it?

I hate country but I grew up with the Dixie Chicks. My mom took me to a lot of their concerts growing up and I still can't help but love them. Too bad they were shunned because so many bigoted Americans took offense to the truth about Bush. I mean shit, who doesn't talk crap about Bush but the Dixie Chicks are still looked down upon.
