@DaveSauerkraut dude, umm, take this from a German... Hitler declared war on the Jews, not the Jews declaring War on Hitler.... holy crap what do they people in school nowadays? You should really read some of Hitler's writings, or those of Himmler if you can find any... you'll learn a lot more, and get incorrect ideas corrected.

Hitler himself said during one of his speech that he fought henceforth for the whole European civilization rather than only for Germany.

@Donkeyn00b He defended the enlargement of the german life space in eastern Europe. This was also due to pan-slavic claims within Austria-Hungary where he was born. However, at the end of the WW2, there were soldiers of all nationalities fighting in the Waffen SS, and the conflict became ideological, global, between marxists and democrats on the one side and European Nationalists on the other side rather than "strictly german".
