@USMC12892 He was a corrupt, racist demagogue. The only reason he got the oil companies there is because of payoffs he made. Black people in Plaquemines Parish could very well do without him. s. He made every effort to make sure Blacks couldn't vote. He referred to Black people as "animals". He bribed voters, intimidated people to vote for him by sending "strongmen" into the booths. His reign was a corrupt racist dictatorship. As a Black man, I don't respect him at all.
