People were bugging me so I put it up. Sorry for the awkward ending, but after that I became so confused and lost track of what I was saying and gave up at that point. If you need to see a closeup of a certain area on the gunblade, I'll post a picture, but there will be no more videos of it. As for pics of me with it in full costume at the con:

  • i mean no offense at all but your not like the smallest person ever but you tottaly pulled off the lightning cosplay ur like three sizes bigger than me and that makes me so confidant that i could also pull it off btw did i saw both the cosplay and gunblade are awesome......did you make everything??

  • @vampydanii Haha, no offense taken. I know I'm overweight, and I'm working on fixing that to become a better cosplayer. I'm glad you liked my costume. Lightning has to be one of my favorite costumes to make, and yes, I did make everything. Every part of my costume was sewn/carved by me. Though I had to space the work between nearly two years because of my attention to detail.

  • @Sakura12592 i really love it but one more question where can i find a pattern for the costume and gunblade

  • @vampydanii The only pattern I used was for the outer jacket. It was Butterick B4659. It's very easy to modify. The shirt and skirt were just thrift store clothes that I altered to fit my shape and added the details. As for the gunblade, there was no specific pattern. I mapped it out, then cut out pieces of foamboard to see if the mechanics would look like. After I'd cut out the wood, I didn't need it anymore so I threw it out.

  • Wow...I've been looking into making one ever since I saw how it transformed on the game. Is your entire gunblade made from that foamboard? and What pieces do you use for the metal clasps and screws ? :)

  • @RizRyuzaki Actually, it's not made from foamboard at all, just wood and bits of metal. I used whatever scrap wood I could find lying around the house for the main pieces, then bought specialized pieces for the more detailed parts. Foamboard is wonderful and quicker to shape, but it bends and breaks too easily for me

  • ooooo can you make a tutorial >o<

  • Wooot! The finished product is much cooler than I would've imagined =). Thanks for sharing! n____n

  • Nice work, I saw the pics and the cosplay is really well done. I did a Kisuke Urahaha cosplay a few years ago and had to buy Benihime online, unfortunately since it's an actual blade I can't use it when cosplaying

  • i bet if i have the blue-plate for the sword and all i think make it out of metal and i will make it transformed as well but i got my anime 2 witch and my games 2 play lmaottg

  • i know what you mean when you say they paid more attention to the sword than the cosplay, people are like: heeey, good cosplay.. OOOH SWOOOORD O__O
