  • Uncanny Valley

  • Aha! I knew that voice instantly! That cool-ass black dude was the main bad guy in the "The Chronicles of Riddick - Assault on Dark Athena" Video-game! Great performance, ...made you want to kill him as soon as possible! (Which I did!) He needs credit in this video - dammit!

  • Dear Image Metrics, observe from 2:15 to 2:17 (also 1:31)... the mouth moves by resizing the wireframe, the problem with this is that real skin never resizes (so smoothly, anyway), only the muscles change size (they also change their topological features when they contract and relax), and skin stretches or scrunches on top of the muscles (also changing topology). In other words, you will have to model the dynamics of muscular/dermal interaction rather than just shifting surface wireframes.

  • Lovely animation-keep up the great work!

  • The graphical and information-processing technology displayed is impressive, but why do so many producers think it necessary to add constant auditory clutter (ear-candy?) to their video presentations, which is not only distracting but for people with very common forms of hearing disability (incurable, and associated with aging) makes it hard to discriminate speech from background noises. Background noises can be very irritating even when their volume is low. It shows incredibly poor judgement.

  • @Good360player If you are talking about MAX and Maya you will find tutorials everywere, if you are talking about the program that only they have(this if they have a program made by them) then it would bring a book in the box wich would tell you how to use it :p

  • Ahah

    That's pretty awesome :D

  • Now we need to know one thing.

Is this a good step or a bad one...?

  • is that the bad guy the prisoner from chronicles of riddick assault on dark athena

  • @accd1d

Uh...uncanny valley is not exactly a scientific theory.

...and if it were, it still would not mean that people or some people could not become accustomed to it after awhile.
