The sweeps are a problem, and it's not just jailing, either. Typically, a sex-worker who is arrested gets "red zoned" - meaning that, until the date of their trial, they aren't allowed to go into a particular area (i.e.: the area where they were working). These zones are usually the sexworkers' own neighbourhoods. Meaning that they can't actually go home. Similarly, many of the red zones contain the city's food banks, CHCs & shelters - thus keeping people from accessing services they need.
