what is the importance of night dropping?
HaZeylI 6 months ago
@HaZeylI It's just more natural for the animal. They take in sunlight/heat during the daytime so that they can regulate their body temperature and make it through the night. Photoperiods and night temp drops are all important in keeping a balance.
CaterpillarGiraffe 6 months ago
@CaterpillarGiraffe It's just beneficial for the animal so it can have some "down time". Reptiles cannot control their own body temperatures without relying on the sun. Whatever the temperature is outside determines the temperature that the reptile can obtain. At night it gives the animal a chance to cool off.

@lovelyroy22 Tegus grow to be 4-5 feet long. They need a minimum cage of 7 feet long, 3 feet deep and 3 feet high.
