@mbogomol So if a CAT I approach means a DA of 200ft the pilot has a knob on the Radar altimeter and sets 200 ft on it. Generally it will sound like this- 500, 400, 300 approaching minimums( Kinda like the orange light on traffic lights), 200 minimums.
CAT II approaches are 100ft Decision height and CAT III are generally all the way down to the Touchdown zone
retard means to slow down and proceed slowly. in aviation terms, engines idle and flare!!
