  • What was going on for so many people and WeatherHavens to be at WHI?

  • Nice vid. Wonder if you've been around Ward Hunt/Ellesmere's north coast in the last year or even two. Theres disturbingly larged pieces of ice shelf coming off more and more often, would change the look of some of your shots. Hmm, might I guess you were with UdeL? Or was that an AINA camp?

  • Its a sad state of affairs when a video like this gets only 1964 views and a stupid flash mob video gets millions - this is a really beautiful 'education' and I thank you for your time putting it together and sharing it with me, I can only imagine the questions I would ask you if I shared a pint with you!

  • Additionally his Inuit name was Aglooka ᐊᒡᓘᑲ English: “He who takes long strides

  • John Rae of the Hudson's Bay company travelled overland from James Bay with native american's living off of the land by foot/snow shoes. He discovered the fate of the Franklin expedition and discovered the last piece of the puzzle of the path to the pacific which was named after him i.e. the 'Rae Strait' in 1854; 50 years earlier than Roald Amudsen.

  • Awesome views. The songs don't pay tribute to the real NW Passage hero --

Roald Amundsen. He and his small Norwegian crew did what not the mighiest

British Navy ships couldn't. He sailed all the way around to San Francisco.

He lived with the Inuit -- the British thought them "savages" and had nothing to do with them...save for give them veneral diseases. Our President's desk comes from the timbers of Franklin's ship. Learn your polar history!
