They played on Wooden teams huh? There are five national championships at UCLA because of Alcindor and Walton. Lew Alcindor is probably the best. But if they arent in your top three then you know nothing of college basketball.

I am serious? Yes. Do a search for the best college players ever. Alcindor and Walton will be the top three in probably 95% of the lists. Why? Because they are the best college players ever. Better stats than anyone else. MVP for the year and the tourney when they played. Most wins. Etc, etc. And this was in the era when they could not play on the varsity squad as feshman so they each missed a year.

He's who I always compare LeBron to when somebody compares him to Jordan. Jordan and LeBron are two completely different players, and I might just have to give LeBron the edge over Jordan pretty soon. Both Bias and LBJ could play C or PF if they had to, and you know Jordan couldn't because he's just not built that way.

Walton and Lew Alcindor are the best ever? Seriously? Walton? They played on Wooden's team for Christ's sakes! Bird maybe, though I'd take Pistol Pete over Bird anyday, and same with the Big O over Russel. You can't take guys who aren't as complete as others and say they're better. You just can't. Len Bias was more complete than Bird. Pistol Pete is quite possibly the greatest whiteboy to ever play the game though, so I'm glad you at least put him in there.

I watched him at Md. trust me-the guy would have been beyond amazing. He had superior inside game and could shoot like Bernard King from anywhere. Would that have changed in the pros? doubtful. In the best conference at the time-he literally looked like a man playing among boys. he was a humble, good guy as well-
I remember Bird said after Bias died-"it's the cruelest thing I've ever heard."
