  • For me, Bohm was a genius and remains still widely misunderstood in his own field. As he says, its non-scientists who tend to find his ideas easier to understand and accept. At base, he was asking scientists to shift their perspective from where it had been for the last 200 years ie away from an atomising, Newtonian Mechanism and out to a more Holistic view. As we see here, he identifies Classical Physics as the abberation, not the other way round. Ancient thought was holistic...

  • This is a man that has seen into the eyes of God. Notice how he laughs when he finishes an idea, thats from exitement of knowing you are clarifying a truth and passing it on.

  • How humans were thousands and thousand of years ago - when there werent millions of people around dicoursing their tone or belief - is how we should be now - this would solve so many of our problems - awareness! - stilling the self - using the silence

    just

you and existence - bear in mind our language holds us back alot

  • 'the way we see is the way we think '

    - awareness is key

  • Will reincarnation be possible in David Bohm's model??

  • Great talk - DIALOGUE behind the obvious #DavidBohm

  • The interviewer is having a hard time shifting into the Meta...

  • True genius able to educate a idiot like me.. it is not easy to do that lol

  • @FlickiesIsland True about Einstein.

  • @3877michael not Christian, he was a Jew...i found this from a letter he wrote [Feb. 5th 1921]: "The mystical trend of our time, which shows itself particularly in the rampant growth of the so-called Theosophy and Spiritualism, is for me no more than a symptom of weakness and confusion." i think that's pretty clear, of course he may have been wrong about the whole thing but let's not distort his views...i agree about consciousness, people are looking into it though--there are some good theories

  • @FlickiesIsland Ok. Still Einstein said some pretty wild stuff and he was a christian. If it turns out that dark matter is conscious and has qualities of a mother / god then Stephen Hawking will be seen in a new light. My POV is that thinking is profoundly mystic. We do not know what consciousness is. We do not know were thoughts come from. All kind of magic .
