  • Wow...I've been watching kata videos across dozens of styles all day but this is amazing. I've got to learn this...

  • this guy is amazing

  • lol 5 idiots that cant tell when they're looking at real karate.

  • Fluidity!

  • @IEKUKATAKA Hi! I seem to remember you commenting on another shotokan video that only ancient traditional karate is real karate or something to that effect! That and your desire to destroy liberals... strangely, your comment here seems fairly liberal compared to some other shotokan practicioners and I quite agree with you on this one.

  • @danielitobusta 26 + 62 Asai-ryu

  • Zie ik ze nou ieder een keer misstappen of is het mijn oog?

  • @deek77 You are quite right. Some people dislike what they can;t understand or what they can't do, and some people are just afraid of change. They are so insecure, they can only think of one way to do anything. I feel sorry for them, because this is very innovative and beneficial to learn.

  • @Ronin6575 Yeah, it's easy to see why. It's funny how some Shotokan players would frown on him for changing things in that branch, when this is exactly what Funakoshi Sensei and his son Gigo Sensei did with it. Tradition and maintaining identity is definitely necessary in karate, but change is as well. I think Asai Sensei strove to find a balance between the two ideals. I also think he succeeded in his own ways.

  • @deek77 My first instructor knew him in Japan and said he was his favorite .
