well ppc based macs anyway. the new macs are just overpriced pcs with the mac osx operating system.

what a heap of shit. pentium 2 pcs can run youtube smoothly. while g3 macs cant run youtube for shit. Youtube and adobe flash have exposed macs for what they are. shit.

they did made apple a4 which is based on arm cortex a8 architecture, however it's performance is so weak than even atom/pentium 4 can stomp it like garbage that they can't port it on desktop department and only stays on embedded/tablet platform like ipad/iphone. if they want to confront intel, they'd have to to bring something to surpass 5 years old conroe first. however i don't think they can even beat a netburst pentium 4 or atom at the moment...
