Forests and peatland that are home to the critically endangered orangutan, support entire communities and are critical in the fight against climate change.

NZ imports up to 25 per cent of the world's trade in palm kernel feed.

There is no need for NZ dairy to be produced at the expense of tropical rainforests, the climate, endangered orangutans and New Zealand's clean green reputation.

I've been reading some old comments. How do you get the notion that Fonterra uses the palm cornel? Fonterra processes the end product there milk tankers go to the farms and collect milk from a silo. They don't go to a farm and collect palm cornel from the ground in a dump truck.

Fonterra IS NOT encouraging the rain forest to be cut down. The rain forest is already being cut down to collect palm oil. Now instead of burning the left overs the FARMERS are buying the what would be WAIST Product and feeding it to stock.
