***THESE ARE NOT ADHESIVE DECALS***

***THEY WILL NOT "PEEL OFF" WITH A HEAT GUN***

***IF YOU LEAVE A COMMENT TELLING ME THAT A HEAT GUN WORKS, I WILL TELL YOU TO GET FUCKED***

These are water-trasfers and they are painted over with clear coat.

If you think I don't know what I'm talking about, then open your fucking eyes and look at the rest of the bike. Notice the missing tank badges, frame warnings, tail scallops, and fairing splashes. I know what an adhesive decal is and I know how to remove it.

***WATER TRANSFER REMOVAL***

I searched the internet for weeks and never came up with anything other than sanding off and repainting, which I was not interested in trying.

The job is pretty straight forward and required a little bit of patience, but I found that the time spent was quite relaxing as well as productive.

  • Is there any other method that they could use to put them on other than water-transfer? If so will the same method your using work?

    Thanks.

  • Other years might be adhesive decals. The main barrier in removing them is getting through the clearcoat paint, which I believe is there to protect the decal from gasoline. Of course, not all bikes have clear coat over the decals, which makes the removal process a non-issue....

  • FUCKHEADS: Post a video of you removing decals with soapy water from under clearcoat paint OR SHUT THE FUCK UP. POST.

  • Just use a blow dryer.. it does wonders and you dont have to place a iron on your paint

  • You are a FUCKING retard.

    Either because:

    a) You don't know what the fuck you are talking about,

    b) You've never removed a decal from UNDER clearcoat,

    c) You own a hairdryer that exceeds 400 degrees,

    d) You burn surround paint instead of spot-heating,

    e) You've never removed a decal from under clearcoat and don't have a fucking clue what is going on here,

    f) ALL OF THE ABOVE.

    (f) is correct, now get the fuck off my page and don't come back. BYE.

  • hey man i know the normal adhesive stickers are easily removed with a hairdryer and abit of wd-40. but any tips on how to get rid of the stickiness?

  • 3M Corp makes an Adhesive Remover spray that works pretty good if you are having trouble getting rid of residue or gum left over after WD-40.

I believe it's in a blue can and runs around $5, and can be found in most hardware or auto stores.

  • damn dude... thats some dedication lol. i would probably give up after 30 min

  • Yeahh.... i fucked it up bad, i used wet sand paper and it looked all good until i dried it and saw i took all the paint off as well.

  • I have a CBR600FL and going to resparay it, most the colours are pain, but on the panels it's decals and they are bubbling...

But most motorcycle decals are stuck on then lacqured to make it seem seamless, nightmare removing them.

  • you mentaly raped him lol

  • Excellent video. My R6 tank decals are all that remain and its been a huge help to know what kinda hell to expect, hah.
