Whitney Houston passed away earlier this month, but during her final years, much was said about her and her personal struggles that were just plain WRONG. And all some outlets have focused on were "drugs, drugs, Bobby and her vocal troubles"...
Whitney Houston was the best and still is!!! Period.

I saw Whitney Houston on her recent tour and I totally agree that even though the voice is a bit damaged, it still is extremely impressive!! Also, I think a lot of the things people are complaining about during the tour was caused by something like vocal surgery but I don't know if she has had it. Because in 2007 (after becoming clean) her voice was great in Malaysia (/watch?v=6tP-9ty_zOM) and sounded totally like old Whitney than now so it obviously wasn't drugs and didn't do it to herself.

@rossgardiner I knew she had surgery, but the thing is that the media, will associate drugs to make her look bad. Her voice has ran Le Mans races with singing so much all her life, so she damaged her voice gradually, leading to changes in tone and comfort zone. Before I Look To You, she performed every now and then, so now, in 2010, she is still recovering. Rock stars have used the same drugs as Whitney Houston, so what makes them so much better than Whitney Houston?

Good video and great support for Whitney Houston. I have never listened to the critics or the naysayers regarding Whitney Houston. She is the greatest female vocalist of all time. People wanted Whitney to fail when she returned in 2009. However, the remarkable success of her album "I Look To You" left many wondering about what to say. Whitney has solidified her place in history. None of the voices today are nothing compared to Whitney. Don't believe the hype. Whitney...SoldierGirl!!!!
