  • Hi bbooggiee,

maybe I was just lucky, but I never had a problem with noise regulations on trackdays.....I can not compare my exhaust to the Larini Sport because I never had one but I can promise you the Club Sport sounds great - also in the interiour and yes, you still can hear the supercharger.....

  • Hi Labomba79, thanks for your comment. You took a very good decision by installing the supercharger because it´s a massive improvement of the engine performance!!

The suspension is the Bilstein one from the sport package.

Have fun with your car !

  • hi gasgas280,

I love the sound of the exhaust, especially on the racetrack, in tunnels and on tight city roads. And I guess all of my Lotus friends with different exhausts are a bit jealous :)

But if you often do longer trips I really cannot recommend this system to you. I measured up to 119db in the inside!!!!

And against all what is written in the net, there is a bad droning in the interiour at medium revs....

    Hope this will help you....

PS: I will definitely keep it ..........:)

  • Then this must be 195 tyres in the front, as I think they don't exist in 175... Could You please verify this once please? Oh yes, and my Larini is a Sports, not a Club Sport...

I used to have a Club Sport on my 111S's....

How much for a pair of forged front rims? I'm curious...

    Thx, and enjoy the Elise,

    Francis,

  • @frqncis sorry your right:

    Yokohama A048

    front 195/50R16 84W

    rear 225/45R17 90W

I can´t tell you the price because I bought the car second-hand with the rims already installed.

Enjoy your Elise, too...Best car in the world :)

  • Do You have semi-slicks on your rims? Did You buy new (wider) rims for the front?

I have the same alloys on my SC, also the same exhaust, but with oval tip.

  • @frqncis

yes, got Yokohama A048 tires and wider lightweight rims on the front. 175/55R16 front & 225/45R17 rear

  • @niko2001net1 Great thanks! I've still got ear plugs for the longer trips if necessary! I've also got a Larini decat at the moment, but I don't think I'll immediately mount it if I buy the Club Sport because that'll probably be too much! There's another video of the club sport with a larini decat, it says they measured 128dB (video name: lotus exige _ larini decat in HD)

  • Great video! I've been looking at all available video's on youtube to help me decide which exhaust to choose for my Exige S.

You say you've measured up to 119dB on the inside. I trust that's only when accelerating hard? :)

Considering I still have a stage 1 exhaust which I can use for trackdays, would you advise to take the Sport or the Club Sport exhaust? I mean, judging by your comment and others, the Club Sport is very loud, but is it still fun? Can you still hear the supercharger?

  • Hi there, great to see your car : D

I have a very similar car but not such a High Spec.

But... mine is at the Dealer having the OEM Supercharger fitted at the moment !

... Can I ask which suspension you have on your car, It sits really nicely on the wheels !!!

  • That sounds great i`m tempted to put it on mine. How is it to live with?
