Veli Rat, Dugi Otok, Croatia

This Lighthouse was built in 1849 on the north-western Island of Dugi Otok, 20 M to the west of the town of Zadar. The nearest villages, Veli Rat, Verunic and Polje, are 3 km from the lighthouse. It is 9 km to the ferry port in Brbinj.
The lighthouse is surrounded by tall pines, beautiful bays and pebble beaches. Veli Rat is one of the most beautiful lighthouses on the Croatian side of Adriatic. It has one 4-bed apartment and one 3-bed apartment for renting. Access to the lighthouse is possible by car, therefore, guests are assured of the regular supply of all provisions.
It is possible to enjoy an active vacation combining sports and recreation, jogging and walking, swimming and diving. The surrounding shallow sea is rich in fish.
