@cmh8588 Well, it's really just a blanket and a little pillow thing for the baby... a lot of backpackers carry 60 or 70 lbs into the back country all day long in mountaineering backcountry trips. Sure most of them are men, but women can usually handle 35 or 45 lb packs. I'm not sure about the breastfeeding part though! She must be one tough mom.

@xoxoixoxo Cutting off your children from the outside world is a GREAT idea, along with not letting them have friends aside from their own siblings and kids from the same cult. Having your spouse chosen for you is also full of awesome! Let's not forget the older ones mothering the younger ones! /endsnark

They don't want their kids to use things in the media (drugs, alcohol, violence, foul language.. and all the other negative things tv, computers, magazines and the songs on the radio display) as something they should look up to. They believe in teaching their kids to love God, each other and others, and to use God and their family as the main people they should look up to and follow. To me, living like them seems hard, but the greatest thing you can probably do for your family.
