It is not easy to do business with the US.
US cannot treat India as Turkey or pakistan or even like their Australian brothers. India has always faced the toughest fighters in wars than the US. India has to deal with two nuclear unstable neighbours !! If the US wants to do business with India, then they got to give what is hot right now or even better than what the US army is using. Russians give us the best and they don't give a damn, on whom we use their weapons !!

Damn right.
Relation between India and Russia is like that of a friend .......while that with USA is like a businessmen

@11222533rajan , sorry man, the only planes that can touch mach 3.2 are the MiG-25 Foxbat and the retired SR-71 Blackbird. The top speed of the MiG-21 is 1,320 mph (mach 2.0). A test version of the MiG-21 called the E-66 did set a world speed record of 1,665 mph or thereabouts in 1962, I think. For a MiG-21 to operate at such speeds there would have to be some drastic changes made, to the intake, engines, materials, to name a few. Even the Foxbat, after a mach3+ run had to replace the engines.

india should buy some rafale and sukhoi, not any us plane!

The US Navy and the Marine Corp. aviators are the ones to be feared, not the USAF.

F-22s are the only newer aircrafts that the USAF owns. The remaining newer models belong to the Navy.
Now, F-22s are 5th generation crafts and were not allowed in competition against 4th generation crafts. It was more like a class-based comparison/fight.
It was clear, from the war-game, that the only formidable force against the MiGs was the F-22.

The U.S. plays both sides in red flag. Red flag is played by the U.S. and also as an allience with whatever foreign forces are on the blue team. The red flag team is the same, the blue team U.S. forces are different. It's more of a communication excercize than a true military one. One senerio is an U.S. AWAC has to direct blue team to attack ground targets while flighting against red team's jets. Those red team vehicles are mixed with blue team vehicles. Fratricide runs high in these games.

Good work Kashisoldier..can you give any info on the exercise being conducted by IAF with these foreign Airfroces.....
Thanks

Between 2004 to 2006, IAF conducted many joint exercises with friendly countries !! IAF visited Greece and Marutious too !! You know that USAF was very much impressed by the tactics used by IAF.USAF displayed some latest technology and IAF learned how to work under it !! F15s in 2004 and F16s in 2006 were beaten and USAF got some bad press too !! USAF was very much surprised by Mig21 Bisons. Mig 21s of other nations were a good target practice for the USAF but with IAF it was a bit different !!

having said that, India has nuclear missiles, nuke warheads, nuke bombs and manufacturing plants for pretty much every important conventional military equipments even though the orders from Indian military is limited (because of corruption by procurement committee members) There is no question of depending on any nation for India's security. Dependence is a thing of the past.
India is on its own now.
