This is one of my all-time favourite albums of any rock band ever. It is so haunting and this song, well, it still makes me weepy after forty years of listening to it! The Moody Blues are beautiful musicians and they have held their position in my personal list of top five favourite rock bands, since I first heard them, on this album, in the early 70's. Thanks so much for the post.

Sorry , i meant in my last comment to write 'as well as fusing' !!

Unique band The Moodies as they were the ONE band to brilliantly and successfully walk the tightrope between beautifully melodic 'Pop' Music & 'Progressive' Rock Music as fusing different threads of styles e.g. folk & jazz too

@zitlight73 Good choice

@kenfig I consider their first seven a complete set. If stranded on the proverbial desert island and only have one band and seven albums to choose from that would be it.

I have every LP...mint condition..played on my old Dual turntable with Shure cartridge through Dynaco A25 speakers...best Moody sound ever.

So why aren't these guy in the Hall of Fame??
Well go to hell R&R HOF. These guys were extremely creative and their music is magic. How is that not a qualification?!?!
Eternity Road. You find nothing. That's why it's eternity. If eternity road has a beginning and an end, there is where you may find Heaven. And Heaven is only the beginning of Eternity Road. Its a circle with no beginning or end. It just is. Deep. Good luck!
