Genetic testing is apart from the neurotransmitter testing. It is probably best to work with one diagnosis at a time. I just want you to be aware that the gluten reaction can cause a wide range of neurological problems and this will have to be considered. We should do the neurotransmitter test.

Is genetic testing the same as neurotransmitter testing and also, I have Aetna HMO, do you know if the testing would be covered or is it out of pocket and since I have an HMO I would need a referral so I'm not sure how that would work as well. I know gluten is in a lot of things, is there a way to test for gluten sensitivity and do you know where to find a sample gluten free diet?

Thanks for the question. I like to start with basics. Neurotransmitter testing and proper treatment can make a huge difference. You should also be evaluated for gluten sensitivity.
