try k and j magnetics for 45 dollars it will bump out for an inch out if u make the sorround longer than an inch and wrapp the coil at leat 80 times for a 4 ohm woofer other wise you will blow a woofer with heavy bass notes EVERYONE SHOULD READ

@georgesdens the ipod cant power the subwoofer. the ipod would connect to an amplifier then the amplifier would power the subwoofer.

@sandcakist What do you mean "wrap the coils?" If you mean why do you wrap the wire in circles, then it's because a wire wrapped in circles creates a resistance for current to flow which causes the coil to build up a magnetic field which repels or attracts the stationary magnet attached to the basket therefore moving the cone making sound. The resistance for current to flow through the coil is called inductance.
