  • @billmeret The Prophet advised that they should offer the prayers at intervals that they are used to. Many scholars are in agreement that this is applicable to fasting, and it is also applicable to those who live in the regions of the world where days/nights are longer/shorter that the norm. I will try to find the Hadith which I have tried to explain above.

Quran 7:42 - Those who believe and do good deeds, We do not obligate anyone beyond his capacity, they are the people of paradise.....

  • @billmeret The very fact that you 'wonder' gives me pleasure as only a 'wonderer' can be found. Its only when you think and ask questions that you find answers.

The question you asked, a similar question was asked many years ago by the Companions of the Prophet. The Prophet Muhammed was speaking to his companions about the last days. The Prophet advised that the days will be longer than the days as we know them. The Companions asked what would happen to the prayers and worship.

  • @billmeret Islam is the religion of our first ancestors Prophet Adam and his wife Eve (Peace be upon them). Islam is the name of the religion given to those who believe in the 1 Lord, the Sustainer, Cherisher and Provider.

You say that you wonder if the God of Muhammed (peace be upon him) created the Earth. The Lord that created Earth along with all the other planets, universe's and all that is in existence, is not only the Lord of Mohammed but the Lord of all his creation and man kind.

  • @billmeret Praise be to Allah, the Lord, Creator of the universe and all that is in existence. Creator of that which we can see and that which is hidden from our eyes. I envy you to belong to such a mysterious and beautiful place. The closest I have been to the Lad of the Midnight sun is on the Discovery Channel and If I remember correctly David Attenborough did an hour long programme on the BBC. If I may ask what is the religion of the indigenous people of your country?

  • @1421noah People have lived in the Land of the Midnight Sun long before Islam and they still live there now. They are call Inuit–Yupik, and are apart of my country. I wonder, did the God of Muhammad create the earth.

  • @billmeret Are you planning on going to the arctic circles?

  • What time do you pray within the arctic circles, and ramadan? 6 months light and 6 of dark. The north and south poles are on the same time zones but the lighting and seasons are in reverse. Fajr, Duhr,Asr,Maghrib,Isha. Do the times of Salah become null and void, in the Arctic zones. If you can answer, answer from the Quran or a Hadith, please.

  • JazakAllah
