Continuing the theme of Induction, http://LivinLaVidaLowCarb.com blogger Jimmy Moore and his wife Christine pick up where they left off in Episode 38 of their popular "Livin' La Vida Low-Carb On YouTube" video series discussing the all-important subject of Induction on a low-carb diet.

Last time, they shared what foods you are permitted to eat along with the quantities of those foods. In Episode 39, Jimmy and Christine begin walking you through the dos and don'ts of this phase of low-carb so you understand what you are doing and why you do it. These are arguably some of the most informative user-friendly videos on low-carb Induction you will ever see.

  • Are there any induction friendly shakes that I can drink for breakfast? This is the only way i'd be able to even eat in the morning.

  • @Blackbarbietea It takes about two minutes to cook eggs...just a thought. Otherwise, I suppose you could have an Atkins shake but it's not ideal.

  • I love your videos, but i have 2 questions about induction, can i have calorie coundown milk and i like to use pork rinds as coating for my chicken before frying,is there a limit on frying foods on induction?

  • I LOVE Calorie Countdown milk (although it's harder to find in my area) and pork rinds are wonderful as a fried chicken coating. During Induction, though, you have to follow it by the book as I outlined in this video. But it's only for two weeks. :)

  • thanks 4 replying even tho u didnt answer my questions!!!!!!!! lol

  • Hmmm, sorry about that! I'm VERY busy today with work stuff, so I was trying answer quickly. Lemme try again. :D

During Induction, NO you can't have the milk and NO you can't have the pork rinds for coating your chicken. After the two-week Induction period is over, YES you can to both. Frying foods on Induction is perfectly fine because you DON'T FEAR FAT on this way of eating.

Did I do better this time? :D

  • @StopTheRobbery2 I agree CANOLA IS A BIG NO

  • Sweeteners = Poison

Whole Grains apparently have more phytic acid than even the more refined white grains and are even less desirable than even white bread/pasta.

  • CANOLA OIL!?!

That's not a very good fat...

Coconut, Olive, Butter, Cream, Tallow, Egg Yolks, Avocado.

    These are the good ones.

  • Jimmy, I just found you guys and you are a wealth of information.. I just started 2 weeks ago, and have only lost 5 lbs wich was in the first week. so I have been analyzing everything and while I have been 20 carbs or below. soem of my choices have been, well wrong. LIke Atkins indulgence bars and pork rinds. Ok so now, what should I do...Start over on induction again correctly, or just keep going? Want to get weight to keep moving. Help

  • @livinlowcarbman Thanks so very much :)
