@Federicoxxx Finally, when you feel your first bounce, lower the nose and hit the brakes (SPACE). Again, be gentle with it. When the plane touches down the second time, it should stay down. Then simply roll to a stop and exit your plane.
If you have any more questions, I'm all ears. :)

@Federicoxxx Landing is harder, though.
Firstly, line up your plane with the runway about 2k feet up and lower your gear. Then as you approach the runway, lower your RPM to minimum and extend the flaps. The lower you have the flaps set, the more sluggish your plane will feel, but that's what we want. It gives you more control this way. Descend slowly, or you'll damage your plane when you first bounce.

@Federicoxxx The proper way to take off is to turn on the engine (E), throttle up to maximum RPM and wait for your speed to hit about 80 to 100 MPH. Then pull gently back on the stick and retract the main gear by pressing G. If you point your nose at an angle of about 30-45 degrees, you won't stall. Make sure you hold her steady as you climb to avoid rolling over and augering in.

@Federicoxxx Actually, I find landing to be harder than taking off lol. :)
Trim is just a term that refers to adjusting the plane's control surfaces by small amounts. You can't disable it, but you can activate the autotrim by pressing X.
Takeoffs are easier if you fly a plane that has twin props, like the P-38. Single engine planes like the F4U-4 have what's called engine torque, which means the spinning prop will make a plane list right or left. Compensate by using the rudder (A and D).

what is trim ? how do i disabled it?
i think is more hard take off than. .land lol

@Federicoxxx Wow dude, chill.
You obviously expected a game that took care of everything, as opposed to a simulator, which is what this is.
I have flown planes before, and Warbirds is an excellent approximation of the difficulty of flying a prop plane. It takes a while to get into the air in real life as well. Flaps allow you to fly at low speeds, so you can land safely, so I would suggest trying them when you land. There's nothing wrong with this game; it's simply above your skill level.

WarBirds 2009 is out and running. WarBirds not a single player game like IL 2 but a Massively Multiplayer Online game where many other great virtual pilots will shoot you down if you don't get your skills up quickly!

used to play warbirds but it kind of lost it's credibility when they included a 'sabre' in a WW2 game?!
tournon71 3 years ago
No Sabre in the WW II game. It is only when we do Korean scenarios. Did you play in that?
